What U7 means on a American Standard
The discharge temperature is too low for the conditions, which usually means liquid refrigerant is reaching the compressor: an overcharge or a stuck-open expansion valve.
On this platform, U7 is a protection: the system stopped or throttled itself to prevent damage; many clear on their own once conditions return to normal.

How to fix it yourself
