What F4 means on a Arctic King
The outdoor control board could not read its stored parameters. Like E0 on the indoor side, this is a memory fault on the board itself.
On this platform, F4 is a fault: something has failed or is disconnected and needs diagnosis.
Common causes
- A power surge or lightning event corrupted the stored data.
- The outdoor main board has failed.
- A replacement outdoor board was not programmed for the model.
How to fix it yourself
Do the reset and the visual checks, but the underlying repair needs a technician with a meter and the service manual.
