What Eb means on a Mitsubishi Electric
The interconnect wiring between indoor and outdoor units is landed wrong.
On this platform, Eb is a fault: something has failed or is disconnected and needs diagnosis.
Common causes
- Terminals S1, S2, S3 not matched at both ends.
- A reversed or loose conductor.
How to fix it yourself

- With power off, verify S1, S2 and S3 land on the same terminals at both units and every strand is tight.
- Reset the system: switch the breaker (or the outdoor disconnect) off, wait a full five minutes so the boards fully discharge, then switch it back on and restart from the remote.
Switch off power at the breaker before opening either unit. Capacitors in the outdoor unit hold a charge for several minutes after power is cut.
